He Arose!
READ: Mark 16:1-7
The greatest proclamation ever voiced or heard is this:
“Do not be amazed; you seek Jesus of Nazareth,
who was crucified. He has risen, He is not here;
see the place where they laid Him.” (Mark 16:6)
There has never been anything that could compare to this.
But how could anyone not be amazed?
They were amazed.
The women who had fled from the tomb, trembling with astonishment.
It would be impossible to not be.
This sort of thing doesn’t happen every day.
It doesn’t happen any day.
Never before.
Never since.
But this tomb—this one tomb, in the vast graveyard of centuries was robbed of its prey. God had claimed victory over death and the grave.
And it was amazing!
His love was amazing.
His sacrifice was amazing.
When He came out of the grave . . .
It was amazing!
Death could not hold Him!
It had no claim on Him.
He was the Savior of the world.
Be amazed at this reality:
He arose!
