It’s All About the Journey
We’re all on a journey. There’s no question about that. The journey is filled with twists and turns, great moments, detours, and some struggles and pain. But through it all, we can trust that our destination is sure because Jesus is directing the journey.
My new project, The Journey, is all about what that walk through life has been like for me…for all of us, really. If I were to tell you about my story, from the time I surrendered my life to Christ, being called into the ministry, going off to seminary and then spending 21 years on the road; well, you might be tempted to think my journey is vastly different than yours. But…though our paths are so different, yet, they are familiar. We all have joys and sorrow, victory and defeat, comfort and pain. We have more in common than you might think!
Each song from the new CD deals with an aspect of the journey – whether it’s the encouragement that’s found in “No Other Name But Jesus”, the hope of “That Sounds Like Home to Me”, the determination of “Even If”, or the optimism of “I’m On My Way to Heaven.” These songs assure us that the journey gets sweeter every day!
