Follow me.That’s what He said.That’s all He said.Follow me.That’s what he heard.That’s all he heard.
Those two words He spoke would change his life forever.
Jesus spoke those words to Levi.
Jesus, the One who came to make everything right.The One who touched the leper and the disease left.The One who spoke, and a lame man stood on new legs.The One who was Love.
Yet, He spoke those words to Levi.
Levi, a man who had done everything wrong.The one who was an outcast just like the leper.The one whose choices had made him lame to walk with his people.The one who was hated.
Follow me.That’s all He said.That’s all he heard.
Levi’s Invitation:To rise above the choices that had brought him here.To experience something entirely different.To leave the past behind.To finally be loved by Love.
There must’ve been something about those words.There must’ve been something about the One who spoke them.Or, maybe Levi just realized his need.
Levi’s Response:This time he made the right choice.He decided to try something new.He left his old life behind.He forsook the old to follow Love.
Follow me.That’s what He said.That’s what he did.And, it changed everything.
